Old Shutter Turned Jewelry Holder

I found some old shutters for only $5. I used one to tame my jewelry mess.
The shutter slates are perfect for hanging my big earrings on. I haven't found a hooked earring that doesn't fit over the slates, some post earrings will balance on the slates, but hooks work best.
I loved the aged and weathered look of the old shutter. However I felt like it would blend with my walls too much.
So I painted it with my favorite pop of color, Treasure Chalky Finish from Art Deco. I also added two eye bolts to hold my necklaces and bracelets.

Hi. I use slats that are on my bedroom closet door for earrings. But will hang a shutter on wall and save my door for an over the door clothes hanger.

I use the slats on my bedroom closet door for hanging my various scarfs. I put "S" hooks on the slats and arrange the scarfs by season/holiday. Looks pretty.
