"Be Thankful" Banner

I wanted an easy way to incorporate pictures of those I'm most thankful for this holiday season. With a new banner for the fireplace. One of the things I love about holiday decorating is projects that are multi-functional. Things I can leave up for months at a time with only simple changes. That's what I tried to do with my mantle this year.
So, rather than completely changing everything out I simply layered. Come Christmas time I'll add some greenery and call it a day.
The base for my banner is wallpaper. I have a variety of leftovers stored away so I chose a neutral for this project.

Hint- unroll the paper you plan to use and roll it inside out for a little while to help it not want to curl up. I did not take the time to do that, or use cardboard for a base and cover it with the paper.

I made a template with paper and cut out my banner "pages."
Here's the only "tools" I needed. I simply drew out the letters I wanted on my "pages" and filled them in with a Sharpie. I punched holes in each page and ran twine through them to string them up.
I wanted to display pictures of those I'm most thankful for. I used simple clips to hold them on so I can interchange them if I want. If you'd rather it to be more permanent have some copies made of your pictures and glue/tape them on.
Here it is. I layered it with the garland I had up for Fall.
When I decide to get things out for Christmas I'll probably take down the "leaf" garland, keep the "Be Thankful" and add some greenery.
