DIY Rustic Coffee Table

Autum H
by Autum H
I built this coffee table from Ana White plans. It was fun to build and I am thrilled with the results. I have no building skills, so if I can do it, anyone can.
To give the new wood and aged look, I used a vinegar and steel wool solution to oxidize the wood. The vinegar that has had steel wool soaking for several days, reacts with the tannins in the wood and gives it a dark gray weathered look.
For the finish coat I used three different waxes.
