DIY Highback Dining Bench

Medium
This DIY highback bench was not too difficult to make. I used a thrifted headboard and French chair to complete the process. The tufts were completed by using a pegboard as a guideline and foam from the local craft store. I also used free pallet wood to build the bones of the bench. This bench is comfortable, versatile, and easy to keep clean! It has become one of our favorie pieces of furniture. A full step-by-step of the whole process is featured on my blog!

The bench began as a simple headboard found at a local thrift
The legs of the bench were made from this chair I deconstructed.

Here is the bench featured in the dining area, where we use it now.

This past summer (2014), we even used the bench outdoors for a lovely summer soirée under the trees.
