Is it tacky to mix silver and 'oil rubbed bronze' accents in a bedroom?

Trying to redecorate our bedroom after the plaster ceiling fell in and we had to repaint and drywall everything! I have an oil rubbed bronze light fixture and I just bought silver curtain rods with leaf finials and we have chocolate brown curtains ( I was thinking of putting a lighter sheer over them). The walls are 'parchment' colored. Any thoughts? Is this a faux pas lol? I feel like it could work but I might be overly confident.

Jeanine, personally I think it's all a matter of taste. If you like it then go for it. If you try it and don't like it there's a couple different brands of great oil rubbed bronze spray paint that you could paint your curtain rods with. Precious picture of you and your baby. Just short of two years ago I was in Peoria visiting the Dan Fogelberg river front memorial. I hadn't been in Peoria since I was a small child. It's a very pretty city. I love the bridge.

Not a faux pas! A picture would help, but if any of the other elements help tie the finishes together - you are doing well! Ex: if the shower curtain has both colors

Thanks for the comments! I put up the curtain rods and I think I like them so far. I'm going to try to bring some more silver into the room with a lamp or something so it's a little more "cohesive". Becky if you ever come to visit Peoria again you should see the bridge at night, it's lit up with blue lights!

Oh I bet that is beautiful then Jeanine! I'll have to Google and see if I can find a picture of it. I had family there many many years ago, but who knows I might decide to come during one of the Dan Fogelberg Celebration weekends. I missed it that time by a week or two. We were on our way home from the Air Force Marathon in Ohio and since I've been a huge Dan fan since I first saw him in concert back in '74 I wanted to pay my respects.
