French Country Kitchen in a White Farmhouse World

When we first moved into our home five years ago, I couldn't imagine changing a thing. But over time, I've become disenchanted with cookie cutter and have been trying to add my personal style to set my kitchen apart from the rest of the block. Today i'm sharing the elements that give my kitchen french country flare.
replacing a cabinet door with a basket is a simple way to make a big impact.
create vignettes that add charm and character
warm wood tones, baskets and french blues work together to evoke a french country feel
wine is a staple in a french country kitchen
every french country kitchen needs a rooster

Very very nice! I love French design too although I've gone with the soft, aged white look. In our former home the dishwasher quit and I never used it that much so didn't care to have it replaced. I filled that empty space with a basket too, placed on top of some storage cubbies. Such a great idea using baskets :-)
