Burlap Rose Ornaments

I had some scraps of burlap ribbon from this summer and wanted to use them to make some quick and easy ornaments.
I twisted and glued the burlap to make these simple roses.
I wanted to add a some paper leaves so I cut some from a vintage French book. I got the book at a college book sale. It was already falling apart.
I glued a little piece of twine to the back of the rose and then stuck the leaves over the glue as well.
Here is a quick tip for cutting leaves out with a circle punch. Cut your circle.
Slide the circle part way into the punch until you like the size and shape of the leaf. Punch it out. I turn the circle and cut a leaf from the other side as well.
I love that this is versatile. Not just for the holidays. I put three of them in a mason jar and glued an extra rose to the lid for a pretty presentation.
