Looking for cute way to add a touch of whimsy to your Thanksgiving table? Look no further than your garage or your potting shed! decor table crafts
You can give your old flower pots a whole new look.
These little terra cotta pots were hanging out in my garage... dreaming of spring. But I thought they'd be perfect for Thanksgiving.
Supplies: Mini terra cotta pots, black acrylic paint (or spray paint or chalkboard paint), white chalk pen or paint pen, acrylic paint for "bands," black card stock, a strip of yellow paper for the buckles, craft glue or hot glue, and a template for the brims. A large coffee mug would work well.
Step 1: Paint the flower pots black (or with chalkboard paint).
Step 2: Trace top of mug onto black card stock and cut out to make brims.
Step 3: Glue brims and the hats together and paint the bands.
Step 4: Cut small squares out of the yellow card stock to make the buckles. To get the band to show through, gently fold the square in half and cut out the center. Glue on hats.
Step 5: Add names with chalkboard pen (or paint pen).
Enjoy on Turkey Day! This is a perfect project for your little turkeys to help you create too.
