Can anyone tell me about this thrifted floor lamp?

This brass engraved floor lamp was at a Salvation Army store in a nearby town for the regular price of $6. Because it just happened to be yellow tag day I got it for half price. A measly $3. It's about 5' tall, has a lovely aged patina, and the engraved decoration has been highlighted with colour. It's quite amazing. The photos don't really do it justice.
I don't know anything about it, and I can't find any markings on it anywhere that could help me identify it. It definitely looks vintage, but I'm not sure. I've tried to do research on the Internet, but I haven't had any luck. If anyone can help me with this that would be fantastic!

I know exactly what you mean Carol. Time does tick by doesn't it. But as long as the spirit stays young... that's what really counts.

Hi Angela, I see so many older pieces that people are getting ready to paint and they live in areas where so much of the really expensive old stuff was made or imported, so I cringe thinking "that might really make for a nice nestegg!" HA I just think it is a good idea to check things out! Ane even though painting is great for things that do not look good and perhaps can't be refinished well, it is not for everything. But if they own it...it's theirs to do with as they wish! But I can cringe! Ha!
