DIY Cinnamon Stick Holiday Ornament

Quick crafts are perfect for the holiday season. where my festivity is often greater than the amount of time I have available. I made this holiday ornament in under 15 minutes with cinnamon sticks and vintage sheet music.
In addition to the basic scissors or trimmer for cutting, glue, and a small paintbrush, I used:

cinnamon sticks

holiday ribbon

thin twine

acrylic paint to match ribbon

glitter paint

light brown chalk paint

sheet music

4x4" wood or chipboard for base
I painted the edges of the ornament base a rich cranberry to match my ribbon, glued my trimmed sheet music to the front, and painted on a coat of glitter paint to seal the music and add sparkle. I can't get enough sparkle during the holidays!
Next, I layered my ribbon and cinnamon sticks, securing with glue, and wrapped the ribbon around the sticks, tying a bow at the top.
Finally, I added twine to create a hanger for my ornament, threading through holes punched in the base.
A little rustic and a little sparkly, in less than 15 minutes. Can't beat that with a (cinnamon) stick! For more step-out photos and tips, visit the link below.
