DIY Paint Chip Wall Art
After a decade of renovations here at Kraemer House, I had my share of paint chip samples. And just like that huge stack of magazines I’m hoarding over there in the corner of the room, I couldn’t throw them away. So, I decided to put them up for display and inspiration rather than hide them away.
I’ve been thinking a lot about color lately. This time of year here on the east coast as the brightly colored fall leaves disappear, we’re left with gray. Gray skies, gray geese flying overhead heading somewhere warmer, car covered in gray muck, gray, gray, gray. You get the picture and it’s not in living color. It’s gray. Like an old black and white movie or the first part of “The Wizard of Oz” before everything magically changes to color.
I look to color for inspiration and I wanted my craft room/office/studio to be bright and colorful. I spend a lot of time in the space so I also wanted it to be an organized retreat.
…and the other more vivid hues.
I placed them in the desired order and glued them to boards I found in the scrap pile in the basement.
