Felt Tree Garland

I had some leftover felt from Halloween. And then I saw a felt garland at Target. But... I wasn't about to let the bullseye outdo me, so I decided to make my own more colorful, more sparkly garland... for FREE! This requires second grade sewing skills and is so fun and pretty!
My felt stash... any fabric would work for this. (Think thrift store clothing if you don't have a craftstore nearby!)
Start by cutting triangles out of your felt.
I used an old ribbon for the stem and then threaded a sequin each time I made a stitch. I told you... nothing tricky.
A tiny pinch of polyfil is all you need. (Even a cotton ball would work!)
Next sew on your ribbon... I used a different color for each length, but no reason you couldn't keep it simple and just sew the trees onto one long ribbon/ cord.
Here's the finished product... so cute, right?
I have this hung across our mantel and it's such a nice bit of colorful whimsy.
