Moss would definitely be less maintenance, but still not maintenance-free. Is it a shady area? Do leaves fall on it? Will you be raking it or blowing it to keep it clean?

Barbara, Moss isn't ideal for my area. I live in a city suburb of Chicago. I'll be using grass that doesn't run of course and edging it consistently as I have OCD about my garden. LOL So far I plowed the area and purchased some stone accent pieces like the ones that are pictured, super affordable might I add at Target.com
