Mason Jar/Pallet Wood Wall Decor - Candle Holders

Unique way to add candle light to your home doe or using items you probably already have in stock!!

Start with old wood whether it's pallet wood, barn wood, or any piece that has nail holes, knots, cracks etc. Cut two boards 14" in length. Using a palm sander, sand the corners and edges of the board to make it look more weathered and to soften the lines. I then painted each piece with Gray Milk Paint. You could use a regular gray paint.

I then purchased an item called "Antiquing Wax" in black. This is applied lightly with a soft rag in a circular pattern. It tends to collect in the cracks and crevices so it gives the wood some awesome depth and character!

Left board has Antiquing Wax rubbed in!

We then came down 2 1/2 from top of each board and centered a screw hook. We then fastened chain to the length we desired onto the lids of the jars.

Then you can insert the candles into the jars and viola!!
