Scrap Paper Christmas

10 Minutes
Easy
My pile of scrap paper seems to get bigger and better with every season. I have grand plans of origami and wallpaper and crafts and gift tags and yet... the hoard grows bigger. So for Christmas, I saw a version of this online and decided it would be a perfect solution to the paper pile up. Materials? Scrap paper, white paper, any old frame, glue, washi tape (optional).
Scrap paper Christmas tree gallery wall.
Cut your scrap paper into strips. I have a paper cutter which made this step even easier, but scissors would work just dandy!
Next I cut my strips into pieces of different lengths. I didn't measure or over-think it... I just cut.
Next, I played around with alignment and pattern layering my strips from shortest to longest.
I had these super cheap black frames lying around, so I gave them a little color with this green polka dot washi tape.
I just glued the strips onto plain ol' computer paper and cut them to fit the frames. I'd allow 10 minutes for each tree. MAX.
During the holidays, I display them as a gallery wall. I love the graphic simplicity of them. And did I mention they were the EASIEST craft?!

I love this idea...some papers are so beautiful I hate to even use them. I think I'll use a sample of all my wrapping papers, and make one bigger tree to frame and hang at Christmas. I think I'll add photos of past Christmases as ornaments. k
