Fast and Easy Grapevine Wreath Centerpiece -- With Bird Babies!

My grandmother lives in a lovely senior community in New Jersey. Every time I visit, I linger for a while admiring the delightful centerpieces and vignettes on the entryway shelves lining in the hallways. (They're a crafty bunch those neighbors of hers!) And so I did what any good Hometalking granddaughter should -- I made her a little vignette of her own!
I was inspired by Jennifer's Thanksgiving centerpiece (http://www.hometalk.com/diy/craft/centerpieces/thanksgiving-fall-table-centerpiece-4728608) and set out to gather the materials from our local Michaels. (If you're in Manhattan, the Michaels in Chelsea ROCKS!)
Materials: grapevine wreath, a vine that I'm ashamed I cannot name, berries that I'm even more ashamed I cannot name, hot glue, birds, a nest, and a glass jar.
Turns out I didn't really need the hot glue, but I staged the pic anyway, haha! The vine adheres naturally -- just by wrapping it around the wreath and the stuff "tucks" in easily.
Moment of genius from my trusty partner in crime and Hometalker extraordinaire Hannah; she suggested I use a chalk pen to accent the pine cones! (Did I mention I did this at the Hometalk office? Yes, we have the best job EVER!).
Add your bird babies - give em a little cuddle first if you're so inclined.
Place a jar in the middle. I staged this pic with a candle, but I actually filled it with chocolate when I gifted it to my grandmother -- her favorite!
Ta da! Beauty shot. So easy and fun. She loved it! I hope the neighbors notice. Now I'm already dreaming up my next project for her (this is addictive!) Perhaps a coffee filter wreath for her door...? :)

Oh yes, I like it. We're not big on wreaths in South Africa, not sure why and I always pictured them hanging on a door. Silly me. Now I have an excuse to make one for our table. Thanks Miriam
