If you don't want to damage your floors, Mary, I think this is a job best left to pros. My terrazzo floors were in pretty bad shape when I bought my house, but I had someone come in and diamond polish and seal them and they really came back to life.

Water based acrylic sealer such as High Shine 25. Every 45 to 50 days. This should bring back the shine. To find all the information you need on these floors goggle search terrazzo floor cleaning and maintenance. It will bring you the Terrazzo company that gives you the maintenance and cleaning specs. Always go to the to the company. They give you the information you need. : )

When I worked in the pharmaceutical industry the far majority of our floors were terrazzo. Seamless and easy to clean and keep clean. These were mopped twice a day and sealed every couple of months. An orbital floor buff was used a couple of times a year for deep scrub prior to resealing.
