Pedestal for my dish detergent

I had seen a pedestal used in a bathroom for soaps and other things and though I would make one for the kitchen. I used a short pillar candle holder which I spray painted and a painted tin plate which was already green and matched the kitchen. I bought both at a second hand store.I attached the pillar to the plate with clear caulking. It keeps things off the counter and looks nice too.
