I love making something different or new with recycled items. This is how you make something ugly and we throw away everyday into something to use in your home. Holiday wreaths do not have be just the traditional colors. I used lots of color and left over trinkets to make this wreath in an area in my home that needed a pop of fun color for Christmas. It hangs on a boring door that leads into my pantry to the garage. It makes me smile everyday. It is very inexpensive to make and will last for years.
toilet paper rolls cut in various lengths
This is so easy to do. I had these in just a few days. I cleaned off all the extra paper on them and cut them in various lengths and folded down the ends so they they look like this standing up.
Colorful owls made from recycled paperrolls
Just paint them any bright color you like. I put these cheery non and traditional colors. the wiggly eyes give them a fun expression. I used some scrap fabric to make the beaks and wings also in various colors. After everything dried I sprayed them with a sealant.
HO HO Hoot!
The Ho HO Hoot sign puts it all together for the theme. A non traditional wreath but with lots of fun, color and whimsy. More directions and how to on my blog
