10 Fabulous Gift Wrap Ideas for Your Christmas Presents

Alicia
by Alicia
Though exchanging presents on Christmas day is timeless, some gift wrapping ideas are short lived. A wise man once told me the gift begins and ends with magnificent wrapping paper. Curious eyes should be wowed from the second eager hands hold their presents to moment paper is shredded to the floor.
So make your gift wrap creative and go the extra mile for some oohs and ahhs. Not only will you look like the gift wrapping guru of the century, but your family will be thrilled you went above and beyond. Check out different ways to give your Christmas presents a finishing touch.
Candy Canes

What’s red and white and sweet all over? Candy Canes! Like the cherry on top of a hot fudge sundae, candy canes complete the Christmas look. You’ve probably dangled them on your Christmas tree or over your fireplace, but now you can try arranging them in cool designs for presents. Want to take it up a notch? Use candy cane clay ornaments to form letters and words.
Peppermints

Peppermints anyone? Glue these yummy mints on to red or green wrapping paper for a Christmas look. As appetizing as it may look make be sure to tell your recipient these is off the menu.
Paper Straws

Red & white paper straws also resemble candy cones and can be used for the same purpose. You can also mix up red paper straws with green ones for an ultra Christmasy feel.
Christmas Light Bulbs

Incorporating Christmas light bulbs with gift wrap is actually genius. You don’t have to buy extra gift wrapping supplies and can literally snag some lights from your tree decoration box. Position them in the shape of a snowflake or flower and you’re good to go!
Jingle Bells

Okay, you see where I’m going with this. But really it’s all so simple. Using staple Christmas items is beyond adorable and perfect for gift bow alternatives. Jingle bells are the cutest since they–jingle and make us think of reindeer.
Monograms

Initials may not be as popular on clothing and other possessions, but they’re happily accepted on Christmas day. When you’re giving out presents to your family and friends, the only thing that can make it more personal is by putting the first letter of their name or initials on it. You don’t have to go crazy, simply cut of letters from different wrapping paper and tape it on your gifts.
Keys

Did one of your relatives recently move? Tie keys and ribbon unto their presents to say congrats on their new home. Or give your presents a vintage flair by tying ribbon through it. Besides Santa Clause would totally use these keys.
Paper Flowers

They say one man’s trash is another man’s treasure and that statement couldn’t be more true! Use the remaining of newspapers, magazines, tissue paper, or wrapping paper to create paper flowers.
Buttons

In the midst of sweater weather, buttons are bound to show up. Use your spare buttons to give your presents a dash of creativity. Use two buttons to make a snowman or four to create mistletoe. You can even string Baker’s Twine in between the grooves and tie a pretty bow.
Santa Wine Toppers

Are you gifting wine? Give your bottles adorable Santa toppers! Seriously, who could deny a drink with Santa’s blessing?

Aren’t these ideas awesome? See you don’t have to think outside the box, all you have to do is pull everything out. Check out more unique gift wrapping ideas here.
