Horse Hame and Caster Barn Wood Coffee Table

I had a small abundance of 50 year old barn wood and wanted to make a coffee table....
The pieces came together pretty quickly once I started looking around the garage.
The first step was cutting and framing up the 50 year old barn wood. I had the decorative timber pieces to use as legs laying around.
Because of the irregularities of the old barn wood, I had to do a good bit of sanding to get things more leveled up.
I used some heavy duty corner brackets at each corner to give the table some girth.
I had these horse hames that I knew would make awesome handles on the side.
Everything is square and sanded.
The original saw marks are really appealing.
I had the antique iron casters and axle laying around.
It took a lot of hammering and WD-40 to free up the casters from the decades of rust.
I created a raised mount for the axle to connect to and now the table can be picked up by the horse hame handles and moved around with ease!
