The saddest day of fall is the final cutting of the basil plants. But never fear, making and freezing pesto will keep my basil cravings satisfied. I've got my tips and tricks over at somewhatquirky.

    Do you wash the basil before freezing

      @Deborah Farris this post (and blog post) is about freezing pesto. I think thought, that yes, you wash the basil before you freeze it. Make sure it is dry though before you freeze. I've also seen basil frozen in ice cube trays - fill the tray and cover with water. Then freeze.
