Repurposed Cabinet Door

Make a shabby french bread maker kitchen sign out of an old cabinet door
Here is how I saved/transformed this cabinet.

I started off by cleaning the cabinet by simply wiping it with a wet rag. Next, I started painting it in French Linen chalk paint by Annie Sloan.
I didn't bother sanding at all. I then painted it in Old White from Annie Sloan (2 coats). Once dry, I distressed the edges a bit by sanding with a 150 grit sandpaper. I then smoothed the entire cabinet with a light sanding with 220 sandpaper. It was now ready for the transfer.
I used citra solv for the image transfer. Visit my blog for step by step instructions and more photos and ideas for cabinet door makeover!

Thank you Donna! It's not a sheet, just regular printer paper. I'm using Citra Solv solution to transfer the ink.

Oh yes, I am so stealing this amazing idea to add to the top of my cabinets behind a basket full of French bread. LOVE it! Thanks for sharing. :)
