Best product for removing small areas of glue smudges and painters tape residue from professionally installed lam floors

The laminate floors were cleaned by the installers but I noticed small areas where the glue smudges and tape remained. What is the best product for me to use in lieu of calling then back out to take care of this?

Have you tried Goof Off? It seems to get anything off anything.

Glue and laminate? laminates should float over a quality vapor barrier. Gluing plank to plank is pretty old tech. Most laminates these days are "click and lock" profiled. it the glue is PVA based you may have luck just scraping it off with a sharp plastic putty knife. It it is urethane based you going to have to live with it. Goof off or some WD40 will work on the tape residue.

    Goo Begone

  • Agree, Goof Off & WD40 are a good bet!

  • (One note, you might want to check the with the installers and make sure you don't void any warranty! Especially since it's so new!)

    Turpentine, not the Green kind.
