XIM is the best primer for that type of job. YES,spray them.A good painter can do this w/ no problem.Even if he has to spay doors in your garage or
basement. A vacuum sprayer workers very well and has very little overspray GOOD LUCK.
I second the XIM suggestion after a good cleaning, which you can find at SW paint stores.
If you want to do it yourself, laminate can also be adequately painted with the right mini-roller and paint.
I third the XIM !!! Don't be fooled into thinking that there are products that are paint and primer in one. They may work on surfaces that will never be touched but will not hold up on kitchen cabinets that are exposed to water and chemicals. There is no substitute for thorough prep.
