Building With Paint Sticks?? DIY Nativity Stable

I couldn't justify spending $100 plus on the nativity stable that goes with the willow tree collection so I one using my scrap pile in my garage.
This Christmas it lived on our stair landing because our entry table isn't finished yet. One of those projects I've been working on forever.
These brad nails have sense been tapped in using a nail setter.
The roof is made from paint sticks
I accidently had a nail come through the roof but I kept it because it gives it character.
Here is the back.
I chose to keep the nail holes exposed to give it a rustic feel.
Scrap pile.

This is very similar, although a much smaller version, to the nativity my late father-in-law made. Nice job!
