How I Organized My Open Cabinets in the Laundry Room CHEAP!

It all started with needing to add a pole to hang laundry on in my laundry room. That meant taking off the cabinet doors. I was so excited to begin with. I decorated, made things pretty... and then I was OVER it. I needed some serious storage. So here's what I did...
I searched the house high and low and found baskets, pails and cardboard boxes that would fill the space nicely. I liked them... but I didn't like them... They needed something to tie them together visually.
I painted everything white except the galvenized pails. I simply added a white stripe to them.
Then I made 15 numbered tags. I even glued twine knots to the fronts to make them look like I tied them to the containers ... but I didn't. I hot glued them of course.
You can't imagine how much stuff these hold. It. Is. Wonderful.
Behind the laundry room door, I used a chalkboard to show what was in each container. Because it's chalk, it's easy to update and change around. And yes, I keep dryer lint in container number 15. It's for the birds! It makes their nests smell good.
I hope you were inspired! Visit my blog for more details about my laundry room makeover.
