Is there anything I can do with old yardsticks?

my mom has one in the shape of a star hanging on her wall. I've also seen light fixtures made from them, a shade for a lamp or a pendant light. What about using them for a tabletop?

Not knowing your skills or interest but you could make a crate for storage, a picture frame, a serving tray, table top, Christmas tree shape or I could go on. I've been wanting to find some old yard sticks.

I am not done with it. I'm putting c-7 red bulbs on each end of the yard sticks (the red ones) and white on each point of the star. It's going out in my front yard Christmas 2015. I'll be painting the trellis come spring.

I cut the yard sticks 2 inches on each side and spray painted the yard sticks red.

You can glue wine corks along the length of a yardstick and make a cute 'cork board' for a narrow space.

Hi! Lucky you to have some old yardsticks- they are hard to come by these days! I also, like Rosanne, made a yardstick table top. Love it! http://countrydesignhome.com/2014/07/11/vintage-reclaimed-rules/ You can also make rustic signs-sorry I don't have a picture-the cut up yard sticks are the straight letters and you can use anything you would like for the round ones.
