Chair Weave

You may have seen in a previous project post. I made a Porch Lounger. Well, we are moving and I separated the chairs out and this is what I did with two of them. Since I had previously removed the seats...I needed new seats!
This was after sanding and painting and removal of bad seating.
Old curtain material I bought for a curtain project. This was the left over!
So, I cut the material in the strips and started to knot them tightly. I changed sides so each side had two knot "bows."
Then I wove them!
I put the knot "bows" all at the back for the weaving in this direction.
There you have a cheap, comfy, easy solution to a no seated chair. The material can easily be reknotted to tighten or changed out to match different decor!
And with the rest of the retro thrift store curtain material I made 25+ feet of Garland! With one thrift buy, I made curtains for my husband's Mad Men Den in our Gnomad Pad, made seating for two chairs and a loooong garland piece. Thrift item Success!!

This is so cool! I love how the garland pulls it all together :)

@Hannah V Thank you! It is a cute scene, isn't it? I sold both the chairs and the garland! Actually wove the seats so they would sell faster. :)
