Corrugated Tin Hutch

Wildflowers & Pistols

Alright, so if you've follow me then you probably already know that I'm not a huge fan of this style of furniture. It's mostly the dated hardware and blonde wood color. But, I know these pieces still have a ton of potential!
First, I removed the cheap fake wood backing. Then I gave everything (minus the center drawers) a couple of coats of Wildflowers & Pistols Milk Paint using the color Esmeralda. You can purchase the milk paint here ----> www.wildflowersandpistols.com
I then decided that I wanted to add a touch of girly to this hutch. So, I decoupaged floral napkins to the top side drawers then I distressed them giving them a more aged look. You can find my tutorial on using napkins on furniture here ----> http://wildflowersandpistols.com/blogs/news/17881935-how-to-use-mod-podge-napkins-on-furniture
I purchased these adorable drawer pulls from Hobby Lobby. They were originally a stark white but again I wanted it to have more of an aged look so I used Rustoleums Java Brown glaze and glazed over them.
I replaced the cheap fake wood backing with this old, rusty corrugated tin from an old barn! I LOVE old tin!!
For the center drawers I also painted them using Wildflowers & Pistols Milk Paint in the colors Zora May and Pearl. I wanted them to look like old, weathered wood. I dry brushed over the Zora May (driftwood) color using Pearl (a creamy white color).
I absolutely LOVE how it turned out!! One of my favorite pieces yet!!
