Carved Desk Makeover (all the Repair Details!)

As promised, repair details on this old carved desk I found at the thrift store....that I PAINTED. And WHY I painted it. For those who dislike the idea it was painted, I've shared the many repairs that were needed to bring it back to life.
I found this old desk at the thrift store. Left and in very sad shape. (although, I didn't realize just how bad until I got it home and had a good look at it) I repaired and painted with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and refinished the top General Finishes Java Gel Stain.

Repairs have begun...and only the beginning they were. As you can see the drawer inside was falling apart. (that is the bottom of the drawer there) And had stability issues.
We ended up removing on of the legs that someone had "repaired" very poorly with a nail and not even in the correct spot.
Part of the trim detail was missing and had to be "rebuilt".
We added screws on the bottom support and top for stability. You can see all the rest and details over on the blog post linked below.
