DIY Scrabble Letter Pillows From Drop Clothes

I wanted to add something fun to our front porch, being outside they needed to be easy to wash. Using milk paint I created these adorable pillows from inexpensive drop clothes, they fun & easy to make.
I love how easy these are to make using a simple envelope style pillow, inexpensive drop clothes & a little Junque milk paint.
make a little cut at the top, for our pillows used the dimensions 12 1/2" wide at top by 29" long.
Tear the drop cloth & use the already hemmed edges to your advantage.
leave the right side of fabric up & fold over top 5" (using that already hemmed edge)
then take the bottom and fold all the way up to meet the edges. Pin & sew the 2 outside edges only , leave the top open.
use a stencil, place & stick on.
mix your milk paint a little thicker than usual & dry brush on to create a vintage worn look. I used Junque Milk Paint in Typography, the craft size.
let dry and stuff with your favorite pillow insert. For more pictures and tips visit my blog, happy crafting :)
