How I Organized My Junk (Using Free Stuff From My Recycle Bin!)

I've been in total cleaning and organizing mode lately, and this week my disastrous junk drawer was tackled. Organizing bins and containers can add up and get expensive. It seems like the cuter they are, the more expensive they get! So, I opted for the FREE route. I dove through my recycle bin and hit the jackpot!
This is my junk drawer before. YIKES.
The following items in the picture I grabbed out of my recycle bin (and no, they weren't gross or dirty). There were boxes, yogurt containers, small cans and glass jars. I wanted everything in my drawer to have its own little place, even if they were random odds and ends.
I wiped them down, and used some leftover spray paint to make them a little prettier, and NOT look like recyclables. The insides were painted gold, the outsides white if they weren't already.
And, ta-da! My junk is neatly organized into things that were going to be thrown out. AND, the best part is, all of it was FREE. Organizing doesn't have to cost money!
Pop on over to my blog to read more about my free organizing spree! :)

Maxie on Feb 18, 2015I don't think so. I just took all my markers apart and dropped the inside in the alchol and I used them on plain material and did spritz or eye dropper to put different colors so it looked tie dyed. let it dry. that is the only experience I have had with it. sorry don't know about the other. Sometimes I just give things a try and if it works it works if not then no loss, cause I was going to get rid of it anyway.
