Suitcase Dresser: A Tutorial

I've seen many versions of the suitcase dresser and here's mine! I'm not even sure where the inspiration came from, but I had been doing a lot of dresser makeovers - paint, stains, fabric, etc., - and I am sure that this was just one more experiment.
I used upholstery fabrics, old belts and common hardware to transform old beat up dressers into these gorgeous showroom pieces.
Here, I not only completed a dresser, but a night stand as well. These are fun and easy to do.
Here's an example of a larger piece done using only monotones (black and white). This was used as a television entertainment pieces by the buyer.
There is almost no wrong choices when it comes to the upholstery fabric choices. You could customize this to a color scheme for a room or just be random!

Visit my blog for step by step instructions. I show you in detail how to buy the materials and hardware, prepare the dresser box, adhere the fabric and then add the details. It is actually quite fun!
