pink mason or ball jars?

According to one collector, the pink jars are reproductions from China. See this link: http://www.av.qnet.com/~glassman/info/jarfaq.htm The original jars apparently were aquamarine in color. At some point the manufacturer added pink chemicals in an attempt to make the glass clear, but the result was a murky purplish pink.

When I saw this post the first thing I thought...... are they really old jars that the sun has turned? Some turned glass can appear pink
