A quick fix for a couple of end tables that needed a little bit "junky" makeover...

My husband built these end tables a while back for our bedroom. When they lost their spot up there...they came down to the great room. Stacked on top of each other with the "new" handles they add a little storage with a "quirky" twist...
I had originally wanted to paint and change the look of the end tables all together...but my husband wasn't "on board" with that plan...
So instead I just switched out the handles with some collected door plates and twine...to give it a bit of a "junky" makeover to suit my re-purposed style :)
I think it was a good compromise...how about you?

Too bad you couldn't talk the hubby into painting the tables.....would have been super cute with a little distressing to go along with the clever handles.

I think I would have taken the legs off the top one.
