I could really use some help in having a landscaper come to my home to set up my tiny front yard and design a gopher tortoise haven (in the back) with native Florida plants (wildlife friendly). I tried and failed miserably, lol. I run a bat and tortoise rehab center and need help with my tortoises native foods! any leads would be great!

Heather, try Kevin at Full Moon Natives in Port Orange. They do consultations as well as installations, and I think this project would be right up his alley.

@Heather B I would suggest the Garden Rebel. No matter what I did my front yard always looked bad. He drew up a plan & provided the plants and it has been so easy to care for and looks good all year that I wish I had done it years ago.
  • Hi Heather, I am a Wildlife Rehabilitator as well, Reptiles and Amphibians, but in Colorado. Good luck with your tortoise haven and will be anxious to see the finished project! Unfortunately, we have no native tortoises in CO, just turtles and mostly aquatic. So any tortoise I have, comes in for the winter.
