Cabinet Door Tray and Hot Chocolate Station

My handy husband is always finding thing for me to recreate. He came home with a bunch of unfinished cabinet doors and I was left with the task of recreating them. I chose to turn this one into a serving tray and used it for a hot chocolate station for the holidays. So fun and festive!!
Here is the tray all dressed up as a hot chocolate station for the holidays.
Hot chocolate ingredients
Christmas mugs and decor finish this hot chocolate station off. Once Christmas is over it becomes a regular serving tray again!
To create this tray we painted the cabinet door black, distressed with sandpaper, added an inspiration quote with a white paint and put handles on both ends. It was finished off with a coat of polyurethane for protection.

Love this. Did you use a stencil or free paint your verse? I have a cabinet that I am taking the doors off of....what a great idea to make a serving tray from them!
