This works great for my beige microfiber chair. Spray an area of the chair with rubbing alcohol. Really get it wet. Rub with a sponge, the dirt will come right off like magic. Go on to another area in the same way until the chair is clean. Let dry. The alcohol will dry faster than water and doesn't smell like a hospital when it's dry. If you need to soften the fabric when dry, brush lightly with a soft brush.

If it is not a set stain, I found that a plastic shopping bag gets most things out. The static from rubbing the bag on the fabric is quite effective and inexpensive!! Just a little elbow grease and a good use for those bags that seem to multiply.
