I wanted to make two toy boxes for my friends sons. I knew I wanted a rustic look and while I could have purchased lumber I wanted to make them out of pallets.
Pallets are labour intensive but this was a labour of love.

I took my pile of pallets and turned them into two wonderful toy boxes plus I still have lots of pallet wood left over for something else. so stay tuned for that.
For a complete detail of what I did head on over to my blog the link is at the bottom of the post.

NOTE: this project took about 40 hours to take all of my pallets apart. I had a lot of pallets and I had 3 people help me dismantle pallets for 6 hours so there is 36 hours right away. I work in the construction industry so I always break everything I do down into man-hours so I can track how much work it actually take me.

I kept the thickest and most uniform boards for the toy boxes
a rough box before sanding and stain
the letters are pieces of scrap survey posts
and they are 100% Rosie approved!

How did you keep the side boards together & fasten them on ends? The boards going down the fronts & sides? When I made mine I put a board inside each corner & I really didn't like that look. I like your clean inside corners.
