Valentine Cards That Speak Love

Easy
Do you make your own Valentines? Even if you don't, here's a super simple DIY opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young girls once trafficked, prostituted, and abused.
Before coming to Hope Unlimited, no one spoke LOVE to them.
The girls are typically from 10-17 years old, and they live in Campinas, Brazil at Hope Unlimited for Children's City of Youth. (www.HopeUnlimited.org)
The girls were taught that their only value in life was as a sexual object.
Today, they know differently—in part because people like you and me shower them with Valentines that SPEAK LOVE to them.
Brazil's Day of Love celebration is in the summer, so between now and April 1, why not make an extra Valentine (or several!) to encourage the girls?
Write a note if you like (it will be translated for you!) or use some of the Portuguese phrases suggested in the linked blog post.
Send your Valentines to Hope Unlimited for Children, P. O. Box 100, Jefferson City, TN 37760
Even better, why not have a casual Valentine-themed lunch with family or friends... then have a card-making party! (No time to party on February 14? No problem! Remember, you have until April 1 to get your cards mailed, so after V-Day works, too!)
