Easy Sew/Stuff/Cut Out Hearts

I made some easy fabric hearts with some red, pink and black fabric.
I simply measured out two 5 /12 inch squares of fabric, pinned them together, right sides out. I drew a heart inside for a pattern to follow, that was slightly smaller....
and whipped stitched around the heart. Before completely closing the heart, I stuffed it with batting. Then I closed up the heart. I then cut out around the heart with pinking shears! So easy and you don't have to be perfect nor an expert seamstress (lord knows I'm not!). These are so cute for Valentine's Day and I plan to use the red ones for Memorial Day and the 4th of July! I placed them in this little basket and above in a serving dish I painted with grey chalk paint and distressed.
