Super easy, practically free to make, these little DIY planter pouches will brighten up any corner!

Aren't they cute?! So easy to make. Great for renters who may not have much outdoor planting space too!

I started with astroturf/outdoor carpet samples that I picked up for free at my local Menards. Next I sorted through my craft supplies and found some buttons, embroidery floss, felt and various other notions.

I cut a few flowers out of the felt then stitched the notions on by hand.

With the right sides facing out, I stitched along the edges using a blanket stitch and the embroidery floss. Come read about these cutie pies and other fun stories over on my blog Flipping the Flip.

Do note, some astroturf may fall apart in your hands as you work with it but be tough and adamant and you'll get it.

Lastly I snipped a few holes on both sides at the top, strung some twine through and knotted to hang these puppies up. Filled with potting soil and a few plants, they make for a bright, cheery spot anywhere! Happy Spring! Click the link below to read all about these!

I'm kid-sitting (I was told by my gr-daughter.. they are not babies) while my daughter and a few others locally are going back to work. This would be a wonderful project for the older kids, then let the younger ones deal with th he dirt and flowers.

I've got a garden hose. It'll be fun to hose the kids down!

Great project!! Thanks so much for sharing!
