Wood Chip Tree - natural Christmas decor

Last year, I made some mini wood chip trees from Styrofoam cones, wood chips and hot glue for our natural/rustic Christmas dining room.

What type of wood chips did you use? Can you buy them? Maybe it is a silly question? lol I just LOVE your trees and want to make them Right Away =)

@Nikki - it's been quite a few years, so I don't remember the brand but I did get them at True Value. Sorry I can't be more helpful!

I LOVE the natural rustic look of these trees! So many glue on beads, glitter, mini garlands and such ... and just ruin the natural "woodsy" primitive look. I'm in a condo in a city with no car and am wondering how the heck I'm going to make one of these (but I will somehow)! Until I figure a way to do this, it's going to drive me nuts so I'm not sure whether OR not to thank you for this little rustic tree post!! lol!
