Paris Inspired Gold Leaf Side Table by (French) Country Design Home!

If you can't go to Paris, you may as well bring Paris to you! My latest Paris Inspired Furniture makeover using home made chalk paint, gold leaf and stencils. For the complete tutorial, please visit my blog post: http://countrydesignhome.com/2015/02/13/paris-inspired-gold-leaf-table/
The finished table. I love the way the top actually glows in the sunlight (if we actually had any sun these days : ) or by candlelight.
This is the Gold Leaf Kit- available at your local crafts store or on Amazon.com It comes with the adhesive, sealer and sheets of gold leaf.
Taped off the table top, then applied the adhesive and allowed to dry per the instructions. (You can't see it because the table top and the glue are both white.)
This is the table top with the gold leafing applied. Loving the gold antiqued appearance. Gold leafing is quite simple, just a bit tedious.
Once the gold leaf was applied and sealed, I added the French Typography Stencil. For the complete tutorial, please visit my blog @ http://countrydesignhome.com/2015/02/13/paris-inspired-gold-leaf-table/
The stenciled top. I used Americana French Typography Stencils and Chalky Paint called Relic. Allowed to dry then coated with the PolyAcrylic.
I finished the gold-leafed and stenciled top with two coats of Satin Poly Acrylic by General Finishes. This product is environmentally friendly, little to no odor and cleans up with soap and water. Win.
