Duct Tape Mirror Frame Makeover

I wanted to hang a certain mirror in my home office. The problem: the frame was scratched and chipped. I also wasn't crazy about the color of the frame.
Since the mirror was in great shape, I decided to update the frame by covering it with duct tape. This created an entirely new look.
I love using duct tape because it offers instant gratification. Since there are a ton of duct tape colors and patterns available, the options are endless!
Here is my frame before.
Attaching the duct tape to the mirror was an easy task. I first cleaned the mirror frame and let it dry. Starting on one side, I attached the duct tape one strip at a time. I completed each section before moving to the next side. My frame took two strips per side.
At the corners, I trimmed the excess duct tape so that it didn't hang over onto the mirror.
I love the way this turned out. See my blog post for full details about creating this super easy mirror frame makeover.

haha such a brilliant idea, I recently painted an old beech colour frame in silver, wish I'd seen this first, the paint needed 4 coats and was rather smelly due to being metallic xx
