Ideas for a log home/cabin

All of the walls in our home are either log or knotty pine. My big question now is what color of bedroom furniture would be good in an all log/knotty pine walls room? Thank you.

Are they natural looking wood or painted? In my opinion just about anything would work with natural looking.

I live in a cabin house, floor to ceiling wood. IMHO, stark white or black is best, depending on your taste. Black or extremely dark wood feels more modern and white gives the "cottage" feel. I have used the dark/black with muted silver accents as well, such as fixtures and some accessories.

You and your spouse decide on frilly or plain, then discuss pleasing colors as a bedroom is your restful sanctuary.

@Peg For an eclectic look: Light green, perhaps with a very light print; or a sparsely spaced floral on off white background. For cabin cozy feel: Go with muted reds, greens, navy and off white. Lodge prints like bears, elks, wolves, etc. Big fluffy pillows.

I love the idea of painted color furniture (in a color you love), and maybe a brass or metal headboard if you want to mix things up a little.

I live in a log cabin as well, and I have red kitchen cabinets! Barn red is nice with wood, I also have a lot of black distressed furniture as well.

I like Broyhill Fontana furniture for a log cabin. It was popular in the 1990s. If you want to see a picture, go to your main Craigslist page and type Fontana into the search bar. Would likely bring up some pictures. (or type in Broyhill and look for the blondish wood rustic pieces)

Log cabins have that rustic outdoorsy feel. I would consider sky blues with maybe some light greens to bring the outdoors in. Buttery yellows also brighten up rooms.
