Nautical themed Stairway Makeover
I was very tired of my plain stairway, it was just so boring! My wife and I decided to go full nautical.
I started by repurposing my parents cottage oars. The oars inspired me to keep going!
There was a ledge that needed some serious love.
I went to my local lumber yard and got this nice piece of hard wood for $30.
Then began the painting. The previous owners of our house left a full can of nice blue! Budget saver!
Here's the wood after lacquer and stain!
Coming together well!
Found the rope at a local yacht club for $20.
Put the oars back, bless them for inspiring us!
With decorations and all supplies it was done for under $200! A fun project.
