Okay @Susan K -- I'll start believing again! LOL!

I tried this and was not what I anticipated. I then remembered that I had some roving from our flock made years ago, I cut the roving in lengths of about 5" then separated into 3 sections and 'rolled' them by hand to 'tuff' them then tied them to a 16" wire wreath form, and 'wa-la' - got my look.
