DIY Vintage-Looking Coffee Station Made With Wood Scraps
I have a love for antique/vintage wooden boxes. I don't seem to find them often when I go on the hunt and I was wanting one for a vintage coffee station so instead of whining to myself I decided to make one instead.
The box above ~ this gorgeous Cudahy's Cheese Box ~ was the template for mine. I made a basic one first just to see how it would turn out and I plan to make a more antique-y looking one soon.
I chose scrap wood from a box I ordered that were all the same wood type and similar sizes.
I used my Cricut to make a stencil to use on one side of the box....
I painted the stencil on my box before putting it together. The wood I chose was thinner than I would have liked so I glued it together using wood glue but for the next box I will use heavier wood and nails ~ I like that look better.
And there you have it ~ my new coffee station ~ I keep k-cups, sweetener and a mason jar filled with vintage spoons in my box. I like the way this turned out but as I said...my plans are to make a better version of this in the future ~ this was sort of my prototype ;) You can find out more and see the entire vintage display on my blog at the link below.
